About Us
At St Luke's Innovative Resources, we have been inventing life-changing materials for over two decades. Our inventions are monstly books and card packs - not machines or gadgets. Sometimes we call them artifacts because, like all good inventions, they are simply ideas given a tangible form.
Our
inventions are largely made of paper and while the ideas
may come from anywhere in the world, they are designed purposefully
for those people who value and desire change.
At
Innovative Resources we like to call our inventions 'seriously
optimistic': our aim is to build optimism and we are serious
in our intent.

Lost
in Normality
Have
you ever had the feeling that you didn't measure up, didn't
quite make the grade? Perhaps you felt 'not good enough',
inadequate, or not worth as much as others? Maybe it was
just a sense that you weren't as 'together' as you would
have liked, or you just dropped the bundle.
Narrative
therapist, Jane Hutton, and artist, Kate Knapp, explore
these feelings in Lost in Normality,
a set of 36 cards with a 20-page booklet, that are all about
understanding personal failure and finding the value in
it.
Each
card in Lost in Normality
features one of Kate's unique and soulful illustrations
on the front and a set of questions and a statement on the
back, to open up conversations about 'normality' in our
own experiences and cultures.

Caring...and
other highwire acts
There
are hundreds of thousands of people across Australia who
care for someone with a mental illness. caring is a delicate
balancing act like no other.
But
how many of us really know the carers' stories?
Caring...and
other highwire acts
gives carers in the Loddon Mallee region of Victoria, Australia,
a voice; a chance to tell their stories honestly and anonymously.
While the stories in this book are drawn from one region,
they are also the stories of many families from many places.
The
power of silenced stories in people's lives and the value
of sharing those stories has been well-documented by narrative
therapists. To put it simply, the stories we share can reshape
and add meaning to our lives. John Holton
